There were two fights in sporting news this week. The first of which occurred when the MLB’s Washington Nationals visited the Florida Marlins. Trouble began to brew on August 31st, 2010 when National’s outfielder Nyjer Morgan collided with Marlins’ catcher Brett Hayes when attempting the score. The collision looked clean, as Hayes was blocking the plate in an attempt to prohibit Morgan from scoring ended badly for Hayes who suffered a seperated shoulder as a result of the play. The injury will place Hayes on the IR for the remainder of the year. The next night on September 1st, 2010, the Marlins attempted to retaliate by hitting Morgan with a pitch. Upon taking base, Morgan went on to steal 2nd and 3rd base, apparently a “no, no” in baseball etiquette. So late in the game a second ball was intentionally thrown at Morgan, causing the brawl! After you watch the video, remember to check out the second contender!
The second fight broke out at the U.S. Open of all places. That’s right a tennis match, well it was the fans who started this fight. The altercation took place between a twenty something kid (who looked like he could be on the next season of Jersey Shore) and an older couple in the upper deck. I’m not sure how the fight started, but the kid was certainly dropping a few F bombs and showing his disinterest for the couple. At one point the older lady slaps the kid twice, at which point the kid sits down. Then the old man attacks the kid (who is seated at the time) and all hell breaks loose. The surrounding fans are calling for the ejection of the kid, even though it appears he was the victim, phsycially (although he may of had it coming, who knows).
Which Incident Should Be The Non-MMA Fight of The Week?
