I recently had the chance to test out fight soap and skin care products from Manumission Fightceuticals. I must say I was impressed by the results I experienced. If you are not familiar with the Manumission fight soap product line, let me give you some background. The company prides itself on using only the finest ingredients in their products – which means they don’t use petroleum, coal tar, mercury, and other dangerous chemicals. Manumission sells five skin care products; Body Wash, Face Wash, Shave Gel, Facial Moisturizer and Body Bar fight soap. Then Manumission also gives you the ability to buy the entire skin care line as a bundle, which saves you money and makes for the perfect gift.
Body Wash
Let’s start with the body wash. Now I’ll be the first to say that I’m not amazing at describing smells – but I can say that the fragrance is refreshing. It does not have a distinct floral fragrance if that is a concern. I had a few girls review the fragrance and said they would buy it for their man. The body wash seemed to do a good job of removing excess dirt and oil from my skin without drying it out. By the way I have extremely sensitive skin, so if it did not irritate my skin then you are probably in the clear. I think the root of the formula lies in its unique blend of algae extract, aloe vera, vitamin E, tea tree oil and Eucalyptus oil. The 8 oz bottle lasted about six weeks which equates to about 2 bucks a week – not bad for a premium skin care body wash.
Face Wash
As I mentioned above I have sensitive skin, so I was a little leery on using a non-dermatologist recommended face wash, but after my experience with the body wash my curiosity got the best of me. So I use the face wash after workouts at the gym, it is my traveling face soap. Again the fragrance carries over into the face wash (as a matter of fact it is consistent across Manumission’s entire line of fight soaps). The soap dried my face out a little bit at first, however after contacting Dan Ostrower, President of Manumission Fightceuticals, he informed me that I may be overusing the product. I reduced my amount of face wash to a little over a quarter-size – and have not had a problem since. Plus this has significantly increased the life cycle of the face wash as I have had the product for about three months now. I have noticed that the face soap has reduced clogged pores and moisturized my skin.
Shave Gel / Facial Moisturizer
The trifecta is to use the shave gel which is a non-foam gel to soften and hydrate your skin prior to shaving, followed by the face wash and skin moisturizer. Typically after the gym every morning I shave (if I remember), wash with the face wash and then apply the skin moisturizer after I have dried off. The process has proven to work great – as my face has not had any irritation and I noticed even throughout the harsh winter that my skin remained nourished without being too oily.
Fight Soap Bar
The last product that I had a chance to review was the Manumission fight soap bar. For less than $8 bucks you can get a premium quality soap bar that works hard to remove dirt and oil from your body. The ultimate fight soap bar from Manumission doubles as a “deodorant soap,” helping keep you fresh and clean all day. Just as their website says, the soap is a “mild exfoliant loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and essential oils.” These include shea butter, lemongrass extract, sweat almond meal, tea tea oil, vitamin E and Eucalyptus. The five ounce bar doesn’t disintegrate quickly either, don’t you want a fight soap bar that performs at the same level as you?
You can purchase Manumission’s fight soap products through their own retail skin care website or through other popular retailers such as MMAWarehouse.com. We recommend buying the starter kit which consists of the entire line of Manumission’s premium quality fight soap for less than $55. This will allow your skin to experience to reap the full benefits from their products.
