Rampage vs Rashad Predictions: UFC 114

The wait is finally over for MMA fans. Rampage vs Rashad is tonight! Who knows what tonight will bring? Will there be a round one KO? Or will either Rampage or Rashad fall victim to a submission later in the fight? Could it possibly go the distance? These are all questions we have been asking.  Will Rampage be rusty from his long lay off? Can Rashad control Rampage enough to get the victory and will he “Lay and Pray”? We took to the web to find what the MMA community was predicting for this fight. This fight is the old school MMA fight in every sense of the word. Speed vs Power and Wrestling vs Striking. Will Speed & Wrestling control and confuse or will Power and Striking overwhelm and eliminate?

On ESPN MMA Live, Kenny Florian says that Rashad needs to use his All-American wrestling and superior speed to control Rampage and throw him off his game in order to win.  Randy Couture also agreed in that this is Rashad Evan’s fight to lose. However, both MMA fighters agreed that if Rashad stands toe-to-toe with Rampage, that it could be a quick night as Rashad’s chin has been questioned as of late. Stephan Bonnar also predicted that the coaching and strategy behind Rashad Evans will prove to be superior.

Joanne from MMAGirls.net lays out her predictions for UFC 114. She agrees with the MMA fighters in terms of who has the advantage stylistically. However, Joanne is predicting that Rampage will win via TKO. MMAFighting.com has predicted Evans to win; MMAMania predicts Evans to win via split decision; Pro-FightingFans.com is predicting Rampage via TKO; Squabbles.com is predicting Rampage via TKO and the majority of the BloodyElbow.com staff has picked Rampage Jackson to win via TKO. Our prediction you ask? We’ll keep it short, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson via round 2 TKO!

UFC President Dana White doesn’t think that Rampage is having any fun going into UFC 114. “He is mad about this, Rampage is pissed off. To be honest he is feeling a lot of pressure.” It is true that Rampage is under a significant amount of pressure. He delayed the first fight with Rashad Evans in order to film The A Team, which hits theaters on June 11th. Then there is the fact that these guys have been talking smack to one another since UFC 96! This fight has been a long time coming, and fans are expecting it to be exciting. Heck they even decided to coincide the UFC Fan Expo with this event!

UFC President Dana White discusses the pre UFC 114 mindset of Rampage Jackson.

This is going to be epic. I want Rampage to win this battle. But I think it’s going to be close since his heads been out of the game with shooting the A team movie and everything. Rashad is a beast but I still want Jackson to crush that cocky dude.
