Wes Sims v. Bobby Lashley Rigged?

“He needs to go back to being a security guard…he ain’t got the mike skills to be a pro wrestler, he ain’t got the look…he’s just a big, juiced up monkey…he ain’t got the MMA skills.”
~ Wes Sims on his thoughts of Bobby Lashley.
The former pro wrestling star and heavyweight newcomer to MMA Bobby Lashley made his Strikeforce MMA debut this past Saturday where he faced a former top MMA heavyweight in Wes Sims (was an alternate, and took the fight on less than 2 weeks notice) at the Strikeforce Miami card. Bobby Lashley defeated Wes Sims in less than 3 minutes into the first round via a TKO stoppage. There was speculation that throughout the fight, which Lashley controlled on the ground, Lashley was sticking his thumb into the throat of Wes Sims. The audio from the fight does confirm that the referee gave several warnings to Bobby Lashley about the illegal maneuver. At one point right before the TKO stoppage, it appeared as if the referee was going to pause the action to deduct a point from Lashley. None the less, the Bobby Lashley did score the victory leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of Wes Sims who after the fight indirectly accused Strikeforce of rigging their bout. During the post-fight conference, after an exchange of words and a couple pushes between Sims and Lashley, Wes Sims had this to say in an interview about his opinion of the fights outcome and his general feelings of Bobby Lashley. You can catch the interview below in the 2nd video.
“It was a bogus stoppage, they are just trying to prep this…this…terd…”
“Why did the ref do it…it was 2 on 1 tonight…they didn’t want me to beat him.”

Bobby Lashley MMA Future with Strikeforce?
This win improved Lashley’s undefeated MMA record to 5-0. There is no doubt that Bobby Lashley is a hot commodity in the American MMA heavyweight division given his star-power, polite demeanor and bodybuilder-like figure. MMA analysts wonder what is next for Bobby Lashley’s MMA career…another buffer fight to strengthen Lashley’s stand-up or are the matchmakers looking for a headline in the form of Fedor, Overeem or maybe even Brett Rogers? Only time will tell what the future of Bobby Lashley’s MMA career is, however one thing is certain Wes Sims is not happy with the outcome from their fight this past Saturday at Strikeforce Miami.

Damn….that fight was ugly. Sims got owned by Lashley. It’s time for Sims to throw in the towel. He was terrible on TUF season 10.

1) obviously Strikeforce was padding the fight for Lashley…they didn’t want him to lose…but no the fight wasn’t rigged.
2) Wes Sims is a jack ass…who cares what he says.
3) A re-match would end the same way…Sims crying to the refs & the media.
4) Lashley needs one or two more warm up fights before he is ready for the best of the best.
